We are delighted that Coretrax has been ranked in Oil & Gas Middle East magazine’s Top 30 EPC Contractors list for 2017. The report ranks the 30 most prominent contracting companies that operate in the Middle East and North Africa region’s energy sector. It took into account factors such as volume and value of contract wins, types of projects won and bids currently in the pipeline. Our listing at number 22 is testament to our expansion in the Middle East and commitment to meet the growing needs of our customers in the area.  
Coretrax has been awarded a multi-million pounds abandonment contract with Maersk Oil. The contract is for Maersk Oil’s well abandonment campaign in the Central North Sea and Coretrax will provide wellbore abandonment services including bridge plugs, drillable scrapers, service tools and wellbore clean up fluids. Work will commence this month over a three-year period. Coretrax, leading engineered servicing company for wellbore clean and abandonment, has marked an important milestone with the setting of its 200th CX-2 bridge plug.The firm’s CX-2 bridge plug is a versatile tool, suited to multiple applications in the oilfield – including temporary and zonal isolations. It’s designed to set with a combination of hydraulic pressure and mechanical pull and comes with a built-in setting mechanism for greater efficiency. Coretrax will be attending the Society of Petroleum Engineers Middle East Oil and Gas Show and Conference (MEOS) from 6th – 9th March 2017 in Bahrain. The three day MEOS exhibition is the most established showcase of oil and gas products and services in the Middle East, attracting NOCs, IOCs and major operating companies. Coretrax, leading engineered servicing company for wellbore clean and abandonment, has strengthened its position in the Middle East by opening an office in Abu Dhabi, its fourth base in the region, totalling a $2million investment.
Following a $3 million development investment, we are proud to officially launch our CX-IST (Inflation Support Tool) to the oil and gas market.
Last year, the Coretrax team exhibited at ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi. The Middle East has been a real focus for us, having recently invested $8 million in our Saudi base and the launch of our Dubai office in the summer of 2014. This activity has been driven by demand to service our clients in the region and to reflect our commitment to business in the Middle East. We look forward to strengthening this support by opening our Abu Dhabi base in early 2015.
We are pleased to announce that John Fraser has recently been appointed as a global business development director. John joined Coretrax in 2010 as business development manager and has been promoted to the newly-created position. With 20 years’ industry experience and comprehensive technical knowledge, John is ideally placed to identify global commercial opportunities and will continue to be an integral part of our international growth.

Leading engineered servicing company for wellbore clean up and abandonment, Coretrax, has successfully completed an extensive three year decommissioning contract with global operator Hess Corporation for the first designated abandonment campaign of its kind. The project began in 2012, involving 30 well abandonments at the FFFA and IVRR fields in the UK North Sea.
The winner was announced at the annual awards ceremony, organised by The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section, on Thursday March 20th at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre with more than 500 energy industry professionals in attendance.
Set up in 2011 by the Scottish Investment Bank, the investment arm of Scottish Enterprise, and managed by Maven, the £113 million SLF provides loans of up to £5 million to ambitious Scottish businesses. Since launch the SLF has committed over £30 million in support of growth focused companies.
